The Faculty Institute for Teaching Inclusive Curricula (FITIC) is an initiative that supports Pillar 4 of the UMKC Strategic Plan by helping faculty to develop skills and strategies to create inclusive curricula and classroom cultures that reflect our campuswide dedication to equity and the welcoming of the diverse and global perspectives represented in our surrounding communities.
Eligible participants are required to attend four live institute workshops during the academic year and complete all asynchronous assignments outlined in the syllabus and housed in Canvas.
Faculty who complete all requirements receive a $500 stipend.
