Learning Through Discovery

Our partnerships put education into action and fulfill the UMKC mission to provide transformational experiences for our students and community.

Our Mission

Partnering with the Community

Kansas City is more than where we’re located. It’s our hometown. Our partnerships provide our students with unmatched access to real-world career experiences and industry connections to start building the career of their dreams while giving back to our neighbors in KC.

Establish career and educational mentorship programs that help broaden perspectives and build networks of support.

Open doors for our students to gain unparalleled access to industry-level knowledge and resume-building experiences.

Work with our partners to improve our community through educational initiatives and service opportunities.

Celebrating the Magic of Disney in KC

As the only university with a mascot drawn by KC native Walt Disney, it's fitting that we're an official partner of Disney 100: The Exhibition. Arriving at Union Station in May 2024, the exhibition features more than 250 artifacts from the Walt Disney Archives.
