Memberships

Campus Recreation memberships include access to the updated fitness center with cardio and weight equipment, five multipurpose studios, indoor track, outdoor track, racquetball courts, 25-yard swimming pool, sauna and steam rooms, recreational field and locker rooms. The Service Center on the first floor of Swinney Center provides locks, towels and sports equipment at no additional cost.

Sign Up or Renew Membership

All members and daily guests must be over 18. If you purchase your membership online, a government-issued ID card with date of birth will be required to pick up your membership ID card or for use of a day pass. We accept only credit card and checks for payment.

Member Policies

Please review our Membership Handbook(DOC) when purchasing or renewing a membership to ensure you are up to date on current Campus Recreation policies. 

Facility Access

Use your Campus Rec or UMKC ID for entrance to the facility. If you forget your ID card, we can look you up by your phone number three times. After the third time, you won’t be able to access the facility without your ID card.  

Locker Rentals

All members are able to rent daily locks for free. Overnight locks can be purchased in the membership office. (Locker rentals must coincide with an active membership.)

Parking

For $10 per month, community members and recent UMKC graduates can purchase parking passes for one month up to 12 months, not to exceed the length of your current membership. All passes must be purchased in the Campus Recreation Membership Office.  

The Campus Recreation Permit is valid in the Cherry Street parking garage and in metered areas 43 and 40.  After 4:15 p.m. it is also valid in Area 4.
