Accessible spaces in any of the retail areas for the Colonial Shops or Oak Place are restricted for the use of patrons of these retail shops only.

Students

Student permits for the 2022-2023 academic year will be on sale starting on July 25th, 2022.

Statement of Need

A physician's statement of need must be registered with the Parking Operations office in order for an individual to receive a UMKC accessible permit. This permit alone allows individuals to park in faculty/staff and student permit areas.

Proof of ownership of a disabled plate or placard

A UMKC accessible permit and a state-issued plate or placard must be displayed in order for an individual to park in any of the designated accessible permit spaces on the campus. A copy of the paid receipt or proof that the state-issued plate or placard belongs to the applicant is required for any vehicle parking in designated accessible spaces on the UMKC campus and must be registered with the Parking Operations office. Individuals who require accessible parking should contact the Parking Operations office.
