Certifications

Occasionally students need access to a certificate of enrollment for loan deferment, insurance coverage and more. Find out more about getting your certificate here.

Students and alumni are now able to directly access enrollment certifications online through the National Student Clearinghouse. These certificates can be printed and mailed to any third party requesting verification of a student's enrollment.

Enrollment data is submitted to the National Student Clearinghouse approximately two weeks before the start of every term. Updates are sent once per month after the term begins.

If you are an international student needing certification for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDoT), you should go in-person to the International Student Affairs Office to obtain a certification letter.

Additional Certificate Information

The Registration and Records Office certifies student academic record information to third parties for a variety of purposes including loan deferment; insurance coverage and discounts; employment verifications; admission documents to other colleges and universities; and other needs as identified by our students and alumni.

Note: If you are an international student needing certification for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDoT), you should go in-person to the International Student Affairs Office to obtain a certification letter.

This process is managed through the National Student Clearinghouse. Basic student enrollment information including dates of attendance, enrollment status (definitions below) and degrees awarded is sent to the National Student Clearinghouse multiple times per semester.

The information shared is considered directory information under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). If a student has a directory information restriction in place, the student's information will not be submitted to the National Student Clearinghouse, and the student will need to request a certification from Registration and Records in person.

The National Student Clearinghouse provides student enrollment data to student loan providers approximately every 60 days. The loan providers can access this information for loan deferment decisions. It is the student's responsibility to notify all of his or her lenders if a change is made between schools.
