Roo Welcome unites new and returning students to celebrate UMKC's vibrant campus life, while also energizing them as they transition to the new semester ahead.
All Pre-Professional Health and Law Students are invited to stop by the Pop-Up, ask questions, and meet Demari Johnson, our Pre-Professional Health and Law advisor!

Named after former Intramural employee JD Desu, this tournament embraces what JD valued as a student here: playing basketball and getting to know other students at the same time.
Interested in joining a new fraternity on campus? This info session will allow you the chance to learn more about Phi Delta Theta and upcoming recruitment events and membership opportunities.
Meet and build community with other new students during Roo Welcome! Food and drinks will be provided, along with opportunities to talk with Welcome Leaders about their experience at UMKC.
Open to all students, the campus resource fair is a connection point for students and campus offices/departments to discuss resources, services, and events sponsored by campus units.

Join Campus Recreation for the full D1 Basketball experience on the main court in the Swinney Center. The UMKC Celebrity Game will take place at 7:30pm where UMKC Students, Faculty, Staff, and Alumni will battle it out for bragging rights. The JD Memorial Basketball Championship Game taking place at 9pm.

Students will be able to explore the student organization space in the Student Union and talk with student leaders representing their clubs and organizations. Join UMKC Intramural Sports and the UMKC Women's Center for a fun evening of sports, fun, food, and connecting with your fellow Lady Roos. This event is your chance to learn about all the sports offerings Intramural Sports has to offer and all the services the Women's Center has available.

Join Oscar-winning writer, Kevin Willmott for "Becoming Martin," an exploration of MLK's journey from uncertain beginnings, to a worldwide figure for justice and civil rights.

Join Union Programming Board for another Roos in the City event! Students will have the opportunity to go Rock Climbing at Sequence Climbing Gym on January 25th free of charge! Students must register in advance to receive a ticket. Students must arrive at the Student Union no later than 5:30pm and take the provided transportation to attend the event.
Registration will open on Monday, January 22nd at 12:00pm and ends on Tuesday, January 23st at 11:55pm. Tickets are first come first serve and registration will be done through RooGroups.
