Students have access to several printing services. Click the links below for more information on each type of printing service.
- Black and white printing is available in most computer lab sites
- Color printing is available at multiple locations
- Web-based printing allows you to print from any device, then pick up your printout from specific locations with print release stations
- Wide-format (poster) printing enables you to print posters or other wide-format documents
To use these services, each semester, students receive the equivalent of 850 pages of black and white printing. This is displayed in the PaperCut print management system as $42.50.
Print quotas are reset on the following schedule:
- Quota for Spring Semester resets the week after Fall Semester ends.
- Quota for Summer Semester resets the week after Spring Semester ends.
- Quota for Fall Semester resets the week before Fall semester begins.
Students who enroll after the start of the semester will receive their print quota within 48 hours of enrollment.

Note: all printers in UMKC Information Services (IS)-managed labs default to duplex printing. You will need to manually select single-sided printing if desired.
