How to Apply 

1. Log in to the UMKC Study Abroad Globetrotter Portal and select “Apply Now” at the top of the UMKC Incoming Exchange Student Application page
2. Create your account using the User Identification Wizard
3. Choose which term you'd like to attend UMKC
4. Select the title of each signature document and carefully read and sign these documents (a check mark appears next to the item when complete)
5. Select the title of each application questionnaire and carefully answer the question (a check mark appears next to the item when complete)
6. Select the title of each required reading item and carefully read the item
7. Email Kate Wozniak to let her know you have started the application process

Your program application is complete once a check mark appears next to each application item.

Application fees

All new incoming students will be charged $100 for our online partner-exchange application.

In addition, students are charged $80 per semester by the International Student Affairs Office (ISAO), as well as for UMKC-required international student health insurance. The ISAO fee and health insurance charges will appear on your student Pathway account (UMKC course and billing account) once you arrive in Kansas City and enroll in classes. 

Health insurance

UMKC does not accept health insurance from other countries. All exchange students will be charged for UMKC-required international student health insurance.
